Dave and the rest of the band,
Critical Mass was a highlight of the Proud 2B Catholic festival held yesterday in Framingham, MA. The lessons learned from music, both good and bad, have influenced me. The Grasping for Hope in the Darkness CD is a gift to my family. I know that the story of redemption you tell in the CD will be a positive influence for my five children. I hope God continues to bless all of you.

There had been talks about government conspiracies and such. But just remember... who preaches about these things? Most of those who do are liberal pro-choicers. Would you trust anyone who thinks baby-killing is okay?

Am listening to Scandal right now and absolutly blown away - the last time that happened was back in '84 when Tull released Broadsword! Suspect that there are more folk here who would like to read the lyrics to your albums; any chance of adding this to your website???

Hi there. I normally don't respond to our guestbook but this is Dave from the band responding to Ben. Sorry that you took offence and missed the rest of the great day... the fireworks were awesome! If it is any consolation, I often find the lyrical content of many other bands that I am bombarded with on television and radio to affect me in the same way our lyrics affect you. However, we live in a country where there is still freedom of speech and so I support these artists in their right to artistic expression, even though I totally disagree with their message. I am rather grateful that the organizers of Canada Day chose to allow a Christian voice to be heard. I would also welcome Atheist, Agnostic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist musicians to participate as well. For too long in Canada, we have interpreted "Freedom of Religion" and "Separation of Church and State" to mean "Absence of Religion". It is time for people of all faiths to be allowed to express themselves freely.
To be fair to the organizers, they took many steps to avoid anyone taking offence. We were placed outside of the announced time of the Canada Day celebration (we played at 1pm and the event started at 2pm). Our lyrics were screened and we were told that certain songs may offend, and we removed those songs as requested. Please do not blame the organizers... any blame lies entirely with us.

personally i would try toning down the dogmatic bent you guys are on...i mean there are plenty of subtle christian/catholic bands out there that get thier message out with grace and beauty. i left the columbia lake canada day celebration because i couldn't believe that they booked an act that was so blatently religious. sorry, i found it offensive and i'm pretty liberal.

WOW! I am in awed by your work! You take the modern problems of the world, and you are not afraid to speak the truth! Just like our beloved PJP II. Thank you for showing the world your witness to the Gospel. God bless you in all you do!
